A few miles of 9 foot wide road

Historic Route 66 Ribbon Road Sidewalk Highway – completed in 1922 as Federal Highway 8 running 15.46 miles from Afton to Miami Oklahoma. The only remaining 9 foot wide section of old route 66, taken out of service in 1937. Yes, it was very odd to drive on what appeared to be a single lane highway and imagine what it would have been like to have to share it with oncoming traffic. 

(Yes, this is quite out of order, but interesting none the less)
