We camped last night at Camelot in Lubbock Texas. We got their last
available spot, probably only because the fifth wheelers won’t fit in it. Cool
again tonight.
We left Lubbock about 8:45 after a very rainy, windy night. All
the wind helped dry off the tent, so it was mostly dry by the time we packed
down. We’re planning to drive southeast on 87, pretty much right to John and
Becky’s place, expecting to arrive around 4pm. Lots of oil, cattle and cotton fields.
Is all of Texas this flat?
Apparently after Big Springs, the landscape changes and is
no longer flat.
We stopped to photograph wildflowers in yellow, orange and
purple.
Look what was waiting for us when we arrived at the Barnes' home!
