Fredericksburg and Wild Seed Farm - Tuesday April 14, 2015

Today we visited Fredericksburg, a lovely tourist village with German roots. Great Reuben sandwiches for lunch at Winslow’s. Lots of fun shopping and photographing more old buildings. We found another great quilt shop too.
Only in Texas!

The Nimitz Hotel
Established in 1860 as a hotel and family home
In 1964 it became a museum honouring Admiral Chester W. Nimitz and the men who served with him in WWII.

Some stores were open, but a few were...
On the way back, we stopped at the Wild Seed flower farm
– fields of poppies, primroses and of course, blue bonnets.

Out for dinner tonight at Russo’s Italian Restaurant. Incredible seafood and ribs overlooking Marble Falls. Great food and amazing friends – what a lovely evening!
